Veronica Moser-Sullivan was a vibrant six-year-old girl from Denver, Colorado, known for her outgoing personality and curiosity about the world. Her family described her as a "bookworm" who loved to read, dress up, and negotiate like a much older child. Just days before July 20, 2012, she had been excitedly bragging to her family about learning how to swim.
On that night, Veronica accompanied her mother, Ashley Moser, to a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises at the Century 16 theater in Aurora, Colorado. Tragically, a gunman entered the theater and opened fire; Veronica was the youngest of the 12 victims who lost their lives.
