The story follows "Ex-Deputy So-and-So" (James Ransone), a character from the first film, as he continues his private crusade to burn down houses where Bughuul’s curse has struck. He encounters Courtney (Shannyn Sossamon), a mother hiding from her abusive husband in a rural farmhouse with her twin sons, Dylan and Zach. Unbeknownst to them, the house is a site of a previous massacre, and the ghost children of Bughuul are already grooming one of the boys to commit the next ritualistic murder.
