The first half of the video showed a man sitting in a brightly lit room, staring at a monitor that was out of frame. He wasn't moving. For ten minutes, the only sound was the low hum of a cooling fan. Then, the man whispered something—a string of coordinates—and looked directly into the camera. His eyes weren't focused on the lens; they were focused on whoever was watching the screen decades later.

When Elias double-clicked it, the media player struggled. The timestamp jumped wildly: 00:01... 00:45... 02:12. The screen flickered with the high-contrast grain of a 90s camcorder.

As the progress bar reached the end, a text overlay appeared in a jagged, system font: “RECOVERY INCOMPLETE. SUBJECT 137 MERGED WITH 138. DO NOT REBOOT.”

The video cut sharply. The room was now dark, the furniture overturned. The camera was knocked on its side, filming a sliver of an open doorway. A shadow crossed the threshold—not walking, but gliding with a rhythmic, mechanical click.
