Suddenly, the music screeched to a halt. The steam cleared, dissolving back into the sterile grey walls of the interrogation room.

Susan stood on a foggy train platform, the air thick with the smell of coal smoke and steam. The lighting was no longer harsh; it was high-contrast, beautiful black-and-white. She looked down at her feet and saw high-heeled pumps, perfectly polished. "It was a very beautiful story," Susan said

The word murder hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. Susan felt the walls of the room closing in. The grey paint seemed to bleed away, and the buzzing light grew deafening. She closed her eyes.
